This EPS was not same with the previous EPS, because usually we performed some performances inside the room with our own group. We did mini outbound near by one of the Jogja English Instructors’ house in Sleman. We gathered in Jogja English office in the morning around 7.30 am, and we went there together by motorcycle. The place for our outbound is still natural; there were rice fields, river with the clean water, and bamboo forest nearby the river. It was interesting!

Last month, March 21st, 2015 Jogja English held a monthly program called English Performance Show or EPS. This program is full of happiness, creativity and togetherness. All members from all English homes (female and males) and all classes attended and participated.

After arriving there, we directly gathered and had a small breakfast with sum-sum porridge and our own snacks. Then we moved to the small yard near the mosque to divide our group, there were five groups which consisted 4-5 people in each group with the different class and home. After we divided the group, Mr baron as the instructor asked all of the group to make yell for each group. We performed our yell in front of the other group and instructor.

To start the outbound, Mr Baron also gave us some riddle to decide the first group which will go first. The first riddle was quite difficult, even until now some the members are still confused with his riddle. But finally, one of groups could answer the riddle so they could start their outbound. There were five post in this outbound and every post had the different game, such as water balloon, spider net, sentence estafette, word guess, and walking blind. In the water balloon game, each group should bring four balloon together without hand so they should use another part of their body. Spider net game was also funny, each member of the group should pass the different net without touched the rope while singing English song, sometime the other member should lift their friend to pass the net. The other game was sentence estafette, we would get the tongue twister sentence and we told the other member by whispering and the last member should write the sentence, it was funny because sometime the last member wrote the different sentence and the sentence was weird. Word guess game was held on the river, each member should pass the small river and guess the word with their friends instruction. The last post was blindfolded walking; we should come to the river and made a big circle. Before that, the instructor asked us to cover our eyes except the leader. The leader gave us instruction by tapping our shoulder; it was quite difficult because the stream and the river was quite deep. In every post, there were one clue and we should collect the clue and make one sentence by using all of those clues.

After finishing all of the post, we gathered again in our start point. We ate some snack and took a rest for a while. Some of the members also played water while waiting the other group. Then we moved to the base camp to exchange our snack with the other members, and divided the snack by singing dangdut song. The instructor also gave announcement about the winner of photo competition. The winner of the competitions were Active Class for group photo, and Miss Fifi from female home for individual photo. They got the awards because their photo showed about happiness and it was unique. After they announced the winner of the photo contest, they announced the winner of outbound game. The winner of the outbound was the last group because they could collect all of the clues, and Mr Anan from Male Home Manggis got member of the month achievement.

Even the theme was happiness, there was still any sad moment in that EPS. Mr Fachri, the longest instructor in Jogja English, said that it was his last EPS because he would come back to his hometown.

But over all, that EPS was really interesting and unforgettable. I can not wait for the next EPS and the next activity. Stay happy and keep practicing English guys!!
